Leadership Chief Christine Elias

About the Department
Since 1999, the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe has contracted its police services through the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO). A community rich in culture, history, and sacred traditions, the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe is considered to be KCSO’s most unique services contract. The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe Police Department is staffed by a Police Chief; twelve deputies (which includes ten patrol deputies, one School Resource Officer, one Housing Officer, one Special Emphasis Team (SET) detective, one Missing & Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP) detective); and a civilian police administrative specialist.
