Success Story #1
The elderly gentleman was broke down on the side of the road in the RV that he lives in. He needed a new starter to get the vehicle running and did not have an income to purchase the part. He provided a quote for the part, and I was able to purchase it thanks to Bluebridge Alliance. The owner was overwhelmed with appreciation for the assistance and being able to get his RV running again. It is a great feeling to be able to affect someone's life in such a positive way, especially when they felt there was no hope for a positive outcome. - Community Resource Officer Pearson
Success Story #2
"The vehicle/driver were stopped for various infractions. He was ultimately arrested and the vehicle seized pending a search warrant. His passenger had no friends, family, or contacts in the area - the closest was more than 3 hours away. She lived approximately 45 minutes from the contact location and had no other means to get home. [Bought recipient an Uber ride home]" - Sergeant Nestor
Success Story #3
"I was informed of a young mother of two very young children who was sleeping in a tent at a city park with two large dogs. She had been contacted by officers several times in the past week and was in need of assistance. I contacted her and she explained she had just lost her housing and was trying to get to another state. I contacted several family shelters in the area in an attempt to find a safe place for her and the kids while they waited for transportation to come through. Seeing that there was no availability at shelters, I contacted a local motel an explained the situation. They graciously said they would allow the family to stay with the dogs for one night. The young mother was very grateful and expressed how much it meant to her that she was able to keep her kids off the street, even if for only one night. She was also grateful that an organization like BlueBridge Alliance exists to help those in need. Fortunately, I was able to connect them with a social service agency to get them on the right path. This program undoubtedly helped "bridge" the gap between care and services that the young family desperately needed." - Community Resource Officer Pearson
